Listen, summer is great and all, and I am happy for everyone who is thriving in the heat. I, however, wilt like a delicate flower in this hot weather and I am always preparing for fall, which is the best season, aesthetically-speaking. (I think you all know I am correct and I will not be accepting feedback at this time.)
I know it’s still July, but because my brain is broken by the fashion system, I switch over to thinking about shopping for the upcoming season about two months in advance, which means mentally I’m already stocking up on things like sweaters and tights. Shooting straight up to the top of my list? These pearl-encrusted combat boots from Stuart Weitzman. My friend Hanna said they’re very “American Girl Samantha goes to Brooklyn,” which is pretty much the exact vibe I am going for every autumn.
They’re precisely the kind of shoe I would wear into the ground: The low-blocked heel is deeply practical, the black shade will go with literally everything I own and the pearl detail adds a feminine edge to the combat style. My only dilemma? Trying to decide if I will buy them in leather or velvet. Or…both? AH!
